Add Support to the Structure of a Tree
Cabling and bracing techniques are employed to minimize the risk of failure in tree parts that our arborists have identified as weak based on growth habits, species history, or structural characteristics. Contact Affordable Tree Experts if you are in need of fully insured and licensed arborists to provide you with exceptional tree cabling services.
Cabling systems typically consist of durable components such as drop forged galvanized eyebolts and extra high strength steel cables. These are installed approximately two-thirds up into the tree canopy from the affected area.
Bracing, or rodding, involves the insertion of threaded rods into weak crotches or unions between tree branches. This additional support helps mitigate the impact of torsional forces exerted on the tree during storms or high winds.
It is essential that all supplemental support systems are installed according to the American National Standards Institute's A300 Standard for Tree Care Operations and inspected on an annual basis by a qualified arborist.
